Introduction

こんにちわ,

my name is Samuel lee and I'm a freshman from Seoul, South Korea, and I study Studio Art.

I decided to start learning Japanese because I love Japan's culture, and want to learn to read and write Japanese. I always wanted to learn Japanese but my high school didn't have a Japanese course, so I enrolled when I found out Notre Dame had a course in Japanese.

P.S. Everyone wrote so much in their introduction, so I'll add some more information. Although recently I haven't been catching up to everything, I also like Manga and Anime (probably will know most if u talk about it), ( although I'm more of a Webtoon fan ), and Japanese songs. I went to international schools all my life, lived 3 years in Indonesia when I was 7-10, but otherwise I've lived in South Korea most of my life. I also want to visit Japan and am hoping I could study abroad there because I really enjoy Japan's culture!

Nice to meet you all!

  1. Thank you, Lee-san, for choosing to take Japanese at ND! Since I was slow to update Class Blog classmate link to add yours, I'm leaving my comment here. I'm sure your classmates are excited to know more about you!

  2. HI, Lee-san! Nice to meet you. I signed up for a Japanese class in my high school, but it was canceled because I was the only student. It's interesting to share a similar experience with you, lol^^

  3. That's so cool you lived in Indonesia for 3 years. Do you know words in Indonesian? (Though, that was awhile ago so I'm not sure if you'll remember them).
